This weekend saw the passing of the Mowrer family dog, Champagne, who struggled with a sudden worsening of lymphatic cancer. Until the last couple weeks, Champagne had always been so full of energy. She had 8 wonderful years in our family.

The following is a collection of photos dear to us.

See flickr slideshows from Dad's photos and my photos.

Always up for one, Champagne knew the word "walk", even when spoken during normal conversation. Once heard, she wouldn't let it go until she had one.

Chewing a new toy.

This was Champagne's favorite spot to sit and watch. There is a birdfeeder just outside the window, frequented by squirrels.

Thick furred, she had some amazing fluff, particularly after a bath.

Her favorite place by the fireplace.

Play fighting with my dog, Beija.

Running across a baseball field. She loved exploring new places.

Mostly a very lazy dog, however.

Her favorite passtime. Long walks with Mom & Dad.

She will be missed.
